Braamfontein - Street art

Braam is Beautiful — a curated street art walk Bold walls.
Layered histories.
A neighbourhood that tells its story in public. Braamfontein is one of Johannesburg’s most creatively charged districts — shaped by the gold rush, reimagined through regeneration, and brought vividly to life through street art
This boutique walking experience focuses on the murals and visual narratives that give Braam its distinctive character.
We explore powerful works by Faith47 and Hannelie Coetzee, alongside striking pieces on the western side of Bertha Street that offer thoughtful social commentary and insight into contemporary Johannesburg.
The walk concludes at Kitchener’s Carvery Bar, Johannesburg’s oldest bar — an iconic setting to pause, have a drink, and let the stories settle.
